Molas Pass
Molas Pass is accessible from Highway 550. Parking is at the state overlook at the top of Molas Pass, and at the Molas Lake parking lot north of the pass on the west side of the highway. There are also forest service map displays at each lot. The trails are recommended for all ability levels with the west side ascent becoming a moderate rated ride as it climbs. There are no snowmobilers allowed in and around Andrews Lake for an area of 200 acres. As part of the forest service ruling, the club cannot mark or groom trails from the top of Molas Pass to Lime Creek on the east side. Instead, the club uses Skandics to pack the trail and access the open powder areas. The trail is not marked, though it is clear where to ride. The trails around Molas Lake are all groomed and marked with the CDOT approved highway crossing, just south of Molas Pass and is marked and groomed.
